Every year, around the end of January, the top 30 dividend yields in Europe of the previous year are announced. The top 3 last year consisted of the French Cafom ( Centrale d'Achat Francaise pour l'Outre-Mer Societe Anonyme ) with 19.42%, the second place was occupied by real estate investor Wereldhave (AS: WEHA) with 15.18% and third place was for the international shipping group Euronav (BR: EUAV) from Brussels with 14.46%. Due to today's relatively low interest rates, dividends are becoming more and more interesting for long-term investors. (Source: Analist.nl )
This morning, ABM Financial News posted a number of reports regarding the distribution of dividends for this year. For example, ABN AMRO (AS: ABNd) reported that, in line with the recommendations of the European Central Bank, no dividend will be paid until 1 October. Belgian Bpost (BR: BPOST) also responds to the ECB's recommendations and will not pay a final dividend due to the corona virus.
Perhaps it will be interesting for dividend investors to look at the share of last year's frontrunner Cafom, with the ticker symbol CAFO, from a technical point of view. To chart the course of the course, it is best to use the weekly graph because of the small daily volume.
Since leaving Phase III in week 39 of 2018, the price has been part of the downward trend better known as Phase IV for traders trading the Quattro Stagioni Method. However, after breaking the support level at 4.65 euros in the second week of February, the rate has really collapsed.
After closing last week's week candle , there are two price levels that short sellers should take into account. Very first the support level of 2.72 euros, the level where the decline came to a halt two weeks ago, and the round number of 3 euros. This is the level that large institutional investors are known to trade on.
For the shorter term trader, this share is not really interesting at the moment because they are often no longer in the 'race' with sufficient capital invested in the share when (usually) the dividend is paid in May / June or December.
